Are you managing an engineering team or considering changing paths and becoming one? Join this virtual Engineering Managers Chat (EMC) and discuss management topics, share current challenges, and help build a network that lifts each other. Don't forget to bring your favorite drink!
Sharing the ML/DS perspective will accelerate the learning of each other's experiences. Members interested in becoming managers can join and ask questions that will help them understand if the role is the right choice for them.
Structure
Every EMC starts with a round of introductions and listing topics from participating members. We also include some pre-decided topics (if needed). We will then break into smaller groups for discussion. Each break-out group of 4-5 participants will have one topic for discussion. After 20 minutes, we will regroup, and each break-out group will summarize their learnings for the larger group.
Agenda (in Pacific Time):
6:00 pm - 6:20 pm: Introductions + Choose topics
6:20 pm - 6:40 pm: Break-out group discussions
6:40 pm - 7:15 pm: Re-group and discuss break-out group findings
