We have been having some great monthly meetings, except for a break in December and January, and this will be our event for February.

This is a kind of forum, focus group, and networking event to both network and show, discuss, and get feedback on what you're working on and comment on others' ideas. I have a 36" screen for DVDs and for viewing websites on the Internet, so you can show your work in various formats.

We'll start off with light snacks and networking from 7:30-8:00. Come with business cards. If you have projects where you are looking for participants, such as directors and actors, you can announce these.

The forum featuring clips, works in progress, script ideas, pitch approaches, etc. will be from 8:00-9:30 or 10, followed by more networking from 9:30/10 to 10. Bring your clips to show what you are working on, and if you want feedback on any film and TV projects -- from ideas to videos you are promoting, come with your questions for discussion. For feedback on a script, bring up to 10 pages, and we'll do a reading with different roles. I just finished a Scary Cow production with 25 crew members, plus a crane, dolly, and fog machine to create smoke, and doing fundraising now for another film and I can talk about either project. Some possible topics for feedback might be:
- deciding which project to produce
- choosing a title for your film or TV show
- making choices on casting
- developing a pitch for selling your film, TV show idea, or script
- creating an ad campaign
- making choices about locations
- choosing a director or DP
- determining what festivals to enter
- deciding on different approaches to your Website
- getting feedback on your script
- finding funding

Come with your ideas, and we'll have room to showcase and provide feedback for 6-7 participants. Everyone else, just share your feedback.

For those who haven't been here before, I'll send out the exact location and directions a few days before the event for those who have RSVPed (not the same as our mailing address). I'll provide some juice or soda. Just bring easy to prepare snack things, like sushi, chips and dips, hors d’oeuvres, and cookies. Please indicate what you are bringing in the comments when you RSVP, so we have a nice diversity of things.

If you are a member of more than one invited group, please just sign up once, so I'll have an accurate count, and this is limited to 15 people to keep this to a comfortable discussion group size.

As in my other groups, I have a No Show/No Cancellation policy, so if you sign up, don't show and don't cancel, after 2 times, you won't be able to sign up for this event anymore. (These no shows are listed on your profile).
