What we're about

Let’s get together for inspiration and encouragement to create written works of art. All writers are welcome. The BWC's purpose is to help writers take great ideas and manifest those into written work. We discuss every aspect of writing from how to create your first novel, poem, script or short story to the differences between on demand and traditional publishing. This is your group to discuss successful products and tools for the changing literary industry. Meetups will be at local North Shore (primary) and South Shore businesses.

HEY BAYOU WRITERS,

Can you believe we are soooo close to quarter 4? How are your writing goals for 2022 shaping up? Ready to recommit and get some serious results before the end of the year? Have you heard of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) and want to learn more?

Then you don't want to miss this Zoom Meeting!

My presentation will be about Preptober and some of the things you can do to set yourself up for success, whether it is for writing 50,000 words in November or finishing your current work.

For those overachievers, I will have a workshop Saturday, October 8th where we will go more in-depth on those plans. Each workshop participant will receive worksheets and a workbook (emailed prior to the event) that you can use to help keep you on track!

+++Proceeds from this event will be paid via check, Venmo, or PayPal to me prior to the workshop and will go toward Meetup fees. Thank you!!!

LET'S SHARE OUR WORK
We are a writing group... and would love to hear what you are working on, so please plan to share! New members are especially encouraged to read. It can be flash fiction, a short story, journal writing, or a couple of pages from your larger manuscript. If you write it, we want to hear it. The only request is to keep it under 1,000 words.

PLEASE SAVE THE DATES:
October 8th will be an online zoom workshop for Preptober, so our out-of-town members can also join us. The cost will be $30 and there will be space (online) for 20 writers.
October 13th, we will be back in person at Bosco's!

Until then, Happy Writing.
