BeClojure December Meetup
Details
BeClojure is back! Time to breathe some new life into the Belgian Clojure community, and to meet old and new friends.
Please RSVP so we know how many people to expect, and so we can notify you of any updates.
We're meeting at Café Tempo, a ten minute walk from the Leuven train station. There will be drinks and snacks for purchase. We will be in the Hoegaardenzaal.
Tentative schedule:
18:30 doors / early arrivals
19:00 official start
19:30-20:00 first talk (~ 30min including Q&A)
~ half hour break ~
20:30-21:00 second talk (~ 30min including Q&A)
~ break / socializing ~
21:45 start cleaning up
Speakers: Adam Helins and Arne Brasseur
We are always looking for speakers! Talks should be up to half an hour in length including Q&A, and can be any level. You can also do a lightning talk: 5 minutes talk + 5 minutes Q&A. Err towards beginner-friendly if in doubt. Talks should be relevant to Clojure people, but don't have to be strictly about Clojure.
Here's an easy formula for a talk:
- pick a Clojure library you've used before
- prepare a "repl session", a single source file that demonstrates the library bit by bit
- to give your talk you simply open your editor, start a REPL, and walk us through
