Raw potluck this Sunday in Snyder at 4

Monthly Potluck at Snyder Holistic Center

We'll show a fun and inspiring raw food prep dvd after dinner to keep you going strong through the Winter ahead!

Snyder Holistic Health Center

4511 Main Street, Snyder, NY (map)

There is parking in back. Make a turn onto Harlem from main street and pull into the parking lot. There is a door you may enter from there. This event is open to everyone!
Please bring - Your own plate, fork, spoon and cup.
and a dish that is raw and vegan to share, enough for 8 - 10 people.
A dish preferably without added sweeteners (except dried fruit), or other substances that folks commonly react poorly too.  Soy products, nutritional yeast, gluten, mushrooms, fungus, oil, xylitol, agave, molasses, and other substances are common problems for many people, so please try to be considerate when preparing your dish.  If you prefer to use these ingredients, consider making your dish in two bowls, one with all your usual ingredients and one without the ingredients listed above.
We love to eat local, organic and home-grown foods especially.
Often there are demonstrations at these potlucks so that you may learn and grow.  In the past there have been demonstrations on how to grow wheat-grass, how to open a young coconut, how to make a delicious green drink, and more.  Come and learn, share and grow with us!
If you're not sure what to bring, you may message Raederle Phoenix to assist your planning.
If you're new to raw vegan cuisine entirely, consider bringing something simple, such as a sliced melon, or washed leaves of lettuce with a cup of chopped tomato and fresh-squeezed lemon juice in a small bowl with your favorite seasonings for dipping the lettuce in to.  (It's great when folks bring plain lettuce leaves with them.  It makes it possible to turn any dish that someone brought into a lettuce-wrap!)
Another simple thing you may bring that would be appreciated is a large pitcher of filtered water with slices of orange, kiwi, lemon, lime, strawberry, cucumber and/or other fruits in the water.  It's highly hydrating, delicious and beautiful, especially in a glass pitcher.
This event repeats on the last Sunday of every month except holidays.  On holidays there may still be a potluck during the month, but on a different date.  Because meetup will schedule these automatically, it may actually show as happening on a Sunday that is a holiday when it is not.
