Beach Dive and Lionfish Hunt at Perry St. Rocks

The Perry St. Rockpile is as picturesque site one can imagine. Truck-sized boulders surrounded by marine life, covered in sponge and corals, and teaming with adventure. This dive MUST be in your logbook.

This site is just a hundred yards off the beach and a relatively easy zone to navigate, especially since maximum depth ranges from 16 to 18 feet. Waves are forecast 1-2' but surf is always dependent upon wind strength and can change without warning. Each diver must judge personal suitability depending on conditions at the time of the dive. No one will dive without a buddy; we always have someone willing to buddy up as we gear up.

Parking is plentiful but first come, first served and weekends can be busy here. MasterMeters take cash/credit at $3 per hour ($1.50 for Hollywood residents). A freshwater shower is available but restrooms are about a mile away.

RENTAL GEAR IS AVAILABLE on this dive. Air tanks, $10; BCD, $15; Regs, $15; Weights, $5 any amount. Please advise of your need at least 3 hours prior to the dive to ensure timely delivery. If needing BCD, state size.
