What we're about
This group is for anyone interested in the benefits of sound to relax or invigorate the system. Some sessions will be sound baths which are designed to relax. Other sessions are "active" and involve drumming or voice. We will also be doing some sonic art or soundscapes together.
I personally have found great benefits in using sound in dealing with everyday stress and limiting beliefs and self doubt. For instance, after a tiring day of work I find that five minutes of drumming on a frame drum has helped me to relax and also engage more constructively with problems. I'm confident that therapeutic sound has a connection to all of us.
My colleague Chris and I are currently being trained in the techniques of The British Academy of Sound Therapy (www.healthysound.com) and will be doing the November sessions as part of our case studies portfolios. We appreciate your help in developing our inquiry in this field and look forward to meeting you.
