What we're about

This group is open to all ladies (This is a women's only book club) who want to have some good conversations about our monthly book over a few brews and brunch! I don't know about you, but I love brunch. Whoever came up with the idea to combine lunch food with breakfast is a genius. I also love beer! Being in Atlanta it's so easy to find great craft beer. There are so many local breweries to enjoy and restaurants are starting to get on board the craft beer train! Woohoo!

Lastly, I love book clubs. I hate when I read a great, or not so great, book and don't have anyone to talk or vent to about it! All I want is for someone to understand! It's like watching a really intense episode of your favorite show, but not having any friends that watch it. So you just sit there thinking about all the great moments keeping it to yourself. Or telling your cat.. I've done it. It's fine. So book clubs are great!
Beer, Brunch and Books. 3 things that I love coming together. So I have decided to start this club and hope to find others out there that share the same interests! We would meet once a month and talk about our monthly book over some craft beer (or wine if you prefer. Or some sweet tea!) while snacking on delicious food from our favorite brunch spots around the city. We may mix it up and grab dinner on a week night, or have a book swap at a brewery! There are no limits to the fun we will have.

If this sounds like something you would be interested in, then please join! If you're new to Atlanta or have been here your whole life and just want to meet some new, awesome girls- join! If you think you might enjoy it, but aren't sure- join anyways! I swear this is going to be great.

Join us for Beer, Brunch and The Winters by Lisa Gabriele!

Wrecking Bar Brew Pub

From Amazon "A stylish, highly original and completely addictive take on du Maurier's Rebecca. Read it!" —Shari Lapena, New York Times bestselling author of The Couple Next Door “Dark and richly atmospheric. . . A bewitching novel about love, lies, and the ghosts that never quite leave us alone.” –Bustle Some secrets never stay buried After a whirlwind romance, a young woman returns to the opulent, secluded Long Island mansion of her new fiancé Max Winter—a wealthy politician and recent widower—and a life of luxury she’s never known. But all is not as it appears at the Asherley estate. The house is steeped in the memory of Max’s beautiful first wife Rebekah, who haunts the young woman’s imagination and feeds her uncertainties, while his very alive teenage daughter Dani makes her life a living hell. She soon realizes there is no clear place for her in this twisted little family: Max and Dani circle each other like cats, a dynamic that both repels and fascinates her, and he harbors political ambitions with which he will allow no woman—alive or dead—to interfere. As the soon-to-be second Mrs. Winter grows more in love with Max, and more afraid of Dani, she is drawn deeper into the family’s dark secrets—the kind of secrets that could kill her, too. The Winters is a riveting story about what happens when a family’s ghosts resurface and threaten to upend everything.

Just Beer and Books: The River by Peter Heller

Tucker Brewing Company

Shaking things up this month for just beer and books at Tucker Brewing Company! So let's meetup and discuss The River by Peter Heller. From Amazon: Wynn and Jack have been best friends since freshman orientation, bonded by their shared love of mountains, books, and fishing. Wynn is a gentle giant, a Vermont kid never happier than when his feet are in the water. Jack is more rugged, raised on a ranch in Colorado where sleeping under the stars and cooking on a fire came as naturally to him as breathing. When they decide to canoe the Maskwa River in northern Canada, they anticipate long days of leisurely paddling and picking blueberries, and nights of stargazing and reading paperback Westerns. But a wildfire making its way across the forest adds unexpected urgency to the journey. When they hear a man and woman arguing on the fog-shrouded riverbank and decide to warn them about the fire, their search for the pair turns up nothing and no one. But: The next day a man appears on the river, paddling alone. Is this the man they heard? And, if he is, where is the woman? From this charged beginning, master storyteller Peter Heller unspools a headlong, heart-pounding story of desperate wilderness survival. ps. the brewery sells small snacks and sometimes has food trucks on site, but are also very friendly about outside food - so bring your own brunch if you'd like!
