Discuss "A Christmas Carol" and "A Child's Christmas in Wales"

By popular demand ... a Christmas Meetup, with two Christmas classics. The Dickens tale is so popular that we're going to use this occasion to do a readaloud: e.g., everyone be prepared to read a passage from the novel to the rest of the group! (Use the comments field here to work out who will read which passage, so that we don't get too many overlaps.)
And in the event that you find Dickens a little too familiar for the occasion, Dylan Thomas's tale is one of those that people have heard about, but have never really read. And because it originated as a radio essay, we're also going to treat this one as a readaloud.
Bit of a change of venue this time out. The Clocktower brew pub is one of the best known in Ottawa, and they usually do nice one-offs, so their Christmas winter brew should be interesting. I've selected the Byward Market location because it's fairly easy to get to by bus, and public parking is only about a block away.
