What we're about
This group practices Zen Meditation in the style of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi, as taught at San Francisco Zen Center for over 50 years. I am a priest in the Suzuki Roshi lineage. We are an informal meeting of friends who sit for 30 minutes and then read one of Suzuki Roshi’s talks together. If you usually sit on a zafu, please bring it along. The meeting place has plenty of chairs. If you have a copy of “Not Always So,” please bring that too, as that's the book we're currently working our way through.
No matter who you are, and no matter what your experience with meditation is, you are welcome in this group. Handicapped access to our room is available, just send me a note and I'll let you know which door to use.
I do appreciate donations to help make the rent, but there is no charge for this meeting. This group is affiliated with the Everyday Zen Foundation.
