Startups: Stop trying to find customers. Get customers to find you

The #1 challenge faced by early stage entrepreneurs - or really any business - is getting more customers and building deeper relationships with them. Startups who embrace Lean Startups quickly find during Customer Development that their biggest challenge is actually FINDING customers TO develop.

There is a better way - get customers to find you!

Kevin Dewalt (http://kevindewalt.com/about) will teach you how to create a Target Persona for your startup and use it to write content that helps potential customers solve problems. When you learn how to write helpful content customers will want to read what you write … trust you … tell their friends about you … and ultimately - buy from you. Whether it is day #1 of your startup or a week before you IPO, Kevin will teach you how to meet more customers and become their trusted adviser in this Helpful Marketing presentation.

Important Notes

• Co-founders pitch

I see that many people in the group are looking for Co-founders or hire. Search no more!

On the beginning of the meetup people who are looking for Co-founders will pitch their name, what kind of startup it is (only one sentence!) and which type of Co-founder you are looking for. Later on you can connect with the people interested.

• Meetup Weixin /WeChat group

We now have a WeChat group and it's limited (for now) to 100 people to join in. It's a system limitation we Chat have. I want to give a chance to people who show up to join the group first. So download Weixin and come and scan the group QR code when you enter.

This group exists to ask for help, or advice, or if you are looking someone to connect you to somebody It can be a great platform to use.

• Finding a Co-founder - Founder2be.com (http://www.founder2be.com/) is a great platform to find a co-founder and go through this hard stage. It's used all around the world and there are 100s of co-founders in China already. Check them out!
