Experience Being Social + Potluck (Candler)

We combine a community potluck dinner (6-7:30) with a Being Social (7:30-9:30)! Eat, drink and get to know people -- what could be better?

You can come either at or after 6pm Sunday 10/27 for the potluck (bring a dish to share), or else come no later than 7:30pm for the Being Social (late-comers to the Being Social will not be admitted).

"Being Socials" are a fun way to meet new people, and get to know your friends even better. The invitation is to show up and BE, whoever you are and however you feel, because we set a tone of total acceptance. Like a party, but with structure, the communication games we play give you an opportunity to give and receive attention, and create surprising intimacy. From candid and hilarious, to deep and touching, each Being Social follows the same structure but is created by the people who are there. Come and play with us.

Cost for the Being Social part of the evening is $10 "or whatever"

Note: at a Being Social, participants sometimes share intimate details of their lives. If you are not comfortable hearing open and honest sharing on topics that are important to people, you might not enjoy a Being Social. You are never required to talk about anything you don't want to, because one of our guiding principles is "We honor your right to think and feel as you do."

Address: 11 Old Candler Town Rd, Candler NC 28715 (about 20 minutes from downtown Asheville.

From Asheville:
Take I240W to 40W to Exit 44 (US 19W/ US 23W / Smokey Park Highway)
Turn RIGHT and go 3 miles west on Smokey Park Highway
Turn LEFT on to Rte 151 / Pisgah Highway
Proceed to the FIRST LIGHT (about 0.7 miles) , Queen Rd
Turn RIGHT onto Queen Rd
Go about 200 feet and take FIRST RIGHT onto (unmarked) Old Candler Town Road
Go another 50 feet and turn RIGHT into first uphill driveway. Park there on an angle and then make your way to the house by following the dirt path by the mailboxes
(When you leave, just drive right up the driveway and exit to your right at the top)
