📢 SPEAKER LIST:

  • KEVIN CUNNINGHAM
    Educator and developer
    "Intro to Remix"
Explore Remix - what is new? Why is it worth exploring? What are the benefits? How can you use it in your work today?
Kevin is a developer and educator recently relocated back to Northern Ireland after 20 years in Brighton. He loves to create learning experiences and does this regularly by teaching online and in-person, working with teams and individuals to help them level up their development.
  • RHIANNON HEANEY
    UX Engineer @ Rapid7
"Building a Component Library with React and Storybook"
Storybook is an open source tool for building UI components in isolation. It allows for faster and easier development by streamlining the development, testing and documentation of reusable components without worrying about data, APIs or business logic. Storybook enables designers and developers to view and interact with various component states and edge cases that may be difficult to reproduce in an app environment.
  • RICK MONRO
Manager of UX Design @ Contrast Security
    "Assumptions are risky business"
Understanding user behaviour is hard. Losing revenue, or a whole business, is even harder. With a few practical examples we'll see how a little testing can go a long way towards testing assumptions and mitigating risk.
Rick is currently Manager of UX Design at Contrast Security, and previously a Principal UX Architect at infrastructure automation software house, Puppet. Before moving into product, Rick spent 3 years as a business partner at Fathom, helping to establish the company as Northern Ireland's largest dedicated UX design agency. With almost 25 years' experience in design, the last 12 have been spent leading and managing design teams. Rick is also a consultant and coach to early-stage startups, and organiser of the UX Belfast meetup.
  • SZYMON LIBUDZKI
    Sr UI Engineer @Qarik
    "A brief introduction to SvelteKit"
SvelteKit is a promising framework that could challenge the likes of Next.js or Nuxt (even though it hasn't reached the 1.0 milestone yet). What are some of the things that make it so well liked by users like New York Times or Radio France? Is it ready to be your new go-to web app framework?

....................................................................
Kindly sponsored by Qarik.
