We're a welcoming mix of long-term vegans, new vegans, veggies, and omnivores, and we're open to anyone who wants to try vegan food and learn more about the lifestyle with a varied group of friends. Come and enjoy the company of like-minded folk as we try out the many vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants and menus in and around Belfast. We also arrange other sociable activities, like brunch, games nights, day trips to other locations, cinema evenings and nights out. Organisers Jade and Emily aim to get something on the calendar every week, more often than not involving a plate of good grub!
This is an inclusive and non-judgemental group, open to anybody trying to improve their diet and lifestyle by cutting out animal products, so no negativity please. Non-vegans looking to try out some animal-free meals and find out more about veganism are very welcome.
New members are asked for a one-off payment of a fiver to join, which goes towards our biannual Meetup subscription costs. As soon as Jade has received your request to join she'll message you her PayPal details, so keep an eye on your inbox!
Thinking of those of us who might not get to see family this Christmas, wouldn't it be nice to receive a surprise pressie through the post?
If you'd like to take part, please RSVP here, then send me a PM with your address.
Closing date for entries is December 4th, to give us time to buy and post. Please spend no more than £10, and don't forget to buy something light as you'll have to post it!
Once I know who wants to take part, I'll email you the name of the person you're buying for and their address so you can post their gift out to them.
Please only respond if you genuinely want to do this. The last thing I was is for someone to post something out and then not get a gift in return because someone else has dropped out or sacked it off. Let's remember our Christmas cheer :-)
Same rules as usual, everyone prepares 10 questions and then we take it it turns to do a round. Only this time... please pick a festive theme for your quiz questions. It could be Christmas dinner, festive traditions, Christmas number one records... anything goes :-)
I'll post a Zoom link nearer the time.
For those who love reading, lets get into the seasonal spirit with a festive read.
I've actually never tried an Agatha Christie, so there's a massive gap in my reading knowledge right there. Her book 'The Adventure of the Christmas Pudding' is a short story collection featuring Poirot and Marple, details here:

We had to cancel our last planned trip to Crawfordsburn due to bad weather so lets try again shall we?
Meet in the car park, dogs welcome, visitor centre should be open for hot drinks, and there's a variety of trails to choose from. The coastal path in my personal favourite.
I guess I should put the usual disclaimer here that we may cancel this walk if the weather forecast is particularly off-putting.
