We're a welcoming mix of long-term vegans, new vegans, veggies, and omnivores, and we're open to anyone who wants to try vegan food and learn more about the lifestyle with a varied group of friends. Come and enjoy the company of like-minded folk as we try out the many vegan and vegan-friendly restaurants and menus in and around Belfast. We also arrange other sociable activities, like brunch, games nights, day trips to other locations, cinema evenings and nights out. Organisers Jade and Emily aim to get something on the calendar every week, more often than not involving a plate of good grub!
This is an inclusive and non-judgemental group, open to anybody trying to improve their diet and lifestyle by cutting out animal products, so no negativity please. Non-vegans looking to try out some animal-free meals and find out more about veganism are very welcome.
New members are asked for a one-off payment of a fiver to join, which goes towards our biannual Meetup subscription costs. As soon as Jade has received your request to join she'll message you her PayPal details, so keep an eye on your inbox!
It's my birthday on the 28th March (boring age - 37) but happily a dude who looks a bit like John Bon Jovi is coming to the Empire to help me drown my sorrows.
As with the other Empire events, this is a minimal organisation event... if you wanna come, you need to go onto the Empire website and buy yourself a ticket! https://www.thebelfastempire.com/music-hall/
Pre-drinks beforehand to be announced nearer the time.
3 course vegan dinner with live acting between courses. A chance to play detective and interrogate suspects whilst getting a little tipsy and dressing in silly costumes. For more detail see Belfast Castle’s event page for April 5.
Each table takes 10 so I think it would be great for us to take a table. If we all really love the idea we could have 2 tables? Tickets available before the night but let’s get numbers first and then decide how best to book this. Maybe ask you all to book individually by phoning the hotel and saying the magic ‘vegan supper group’ words.
The theme of the night is not posted yet but last time was ABBA themed so expect to wear some type of daft outfit and really enter into it.
