Coding Challenge

This month we are trying something new, a challenge that is much bigger than normal which will span many meet-ups.

This is quite involved, so don't worry if you don't get it done. Try and start off simple as there isn't much time on the night to provide a complete solution! Pick small portions and build the solution incrementally, no need to rush. We will allow time for demos of this over the next 3-4 meet-ups (months) as there is a lot of cool stuff in this challenge which everyone can learn from! It will be interesting to follow how solutions have progressed over this time.

Work up to modelling the system to benefit from concurrency and how games can be scheduled efficiently. This kata provides a lot of learning opportunities and there is plenty of room for experimenting with rules modelling, actor models, concurrency, state management, distributed systems, basic game strategies and learning algorithms etc. So fill your boots, and maybe this will become a fun Christmas project for some of you!
