October Meetup - 2 Talks and a Kata!

Details
This month we have 2 talks lined up and a fun little programming problem.
The event caters for those completely new to functional programming as well as those with experience, the aim is to provide something for everyone!
We will start with the 2 talks after which everyone will be invited to work on a simple code kata in a functional language of their choice (pairing up and mob-programming is encouraged).
At the end of the evening, those who wish to do so can share their work in progress/solutions with the group which allows us all to see the different approaches taken in each of the different languages.
Talks
Matthew Cree - A Software Engineer at Instil with prior experience of working on large scale Erlang systems/clusters - will be joining us to talk about how to get started with your first Erlang application and why you might find the Erlang platform a great fit for your next project.
Steven Holdsworth - A Polyglot Engineer at Faria Education Group primarily designing and developing system written in Elixir - will be speaking about his approach to using "Generative Test Data Fixtures" in conjunction with command-oriented architectures and how this has facilitated a simple way to adopt property-based testing through and evolutionary approach.
Kata
