What we're about
Bella Torah Austin Fellowship is a place for those who love G-d and keep His commandments. We are not Jewish, but our Savior is and we desire to walk in His Way. We formed this Meetup group in an effort to connect people in the South Austin/Lake Travis area who share a belief in Messiah and a Torah-submissive lifestyle. We've been called “Hebrew Christians,” part of the “Hebrew Roots Movement,” “Judeo-Christians,” “Messianic Believers,” etc. Regardless of the name, if this sounds like something you're interested in, please contact us. Our goal is to establish a strong Torah-based group in the Austin area and provide a community of like-minded believers who will support each other in a shared study of Torah and practice of Messianic Judaism. The original Bella Torah Fellowship was started in the Charlotte, North Carolina area in 2007 by the Squicciarini Family (see www.bellatorah.com for more info). The Wright Family was a part of Bella Torah and would like to extend this fellowship to the Austin area. The Squicciarini Family chose to combine their Italian heritage and Messianic Jewish lifestyle by using the word “bella” (beautiful) to describe their love and high regard for Torah. We observe the biblical feasts, the Sabbath and the holy days and are respectful of the commandments, while also remembering that our Messiah upheld the law and gave us the ultimate commandment of love.
