The Bella Vista Computer Club (BVCC) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable and educational organization, providing the residents of Bella Vista, Arkansas, and the surrounding area an opportunity to gain knowledge of computer hardware, software and systems through monthly meetings and to participate in educational and training programs designed to put that knowledge to practical use.
Monthly general meetings are held at 7 PM on the 2nd Monday of the month, where topics of interest to members are discussed and demonstrated. Guests are welcome to attend our monthly meetings.
In addition to monthly meetings, training sessions are held at our John Ruehle Training Center on a variety of topics and levels. Topics depend on member interest and the availability of volunteer instructors. For examples of past training sessions see http://bvcompclub.org/classes.htm . Training sessions are currently free to members (you may become a member on the first day of class), but non-members are expected to pay a fee to help defray the costs of maintaining the Training Center. See the “Training Sessions Description and Calendar” at http://bvcompclub.org/ for the current month for scheduled training session dates and times. To attend a training session, you must make a reservation in advance.
There is also a Genealogy Special Interest Group that meets in the John Ruehle Training Center at 10 AM on the 3rd Saturday of each month (except December) to share their experiences and help new members get started in genealogical research. Since this group uses BVCC facilities and equipment, to become a member of this SIG you need to become a member of BVCC.
All meetings and classes are in the lower level of the Highland Crossings Center, 1801 Forest Hills Blvd, Bella Vista, AR. The John Ruehle Training Center is in the East Wing of the lower level. Monthly General Meeting are held in the West Wing of the lower level. For more detailed directions see http://bvcompclub.org/directions1.htm .
