November Space Enthusiast Meetup

We'll start the event off with a short presentation that covers recent space-related news as well as what to look forward to in the near future. After the presentation wraps up, we'll choose conversation topics for breakout groups and then delve into those conversations for the rest of the evening.

The range of topics typically include:

   • Space Exploration Technology (SpaceX, Blue Origin, SLS)

   • Sol System Exploration & Science (Lunar & Mars Missions)

   • Earth & Near-Earth Science (Van Allen Belts, Earth's Climate)

   • Astronomy & Cosmology (gravity waves, exoplanets)

   • Exobiology (possible native life on Mars, Europa, etc.)

   • Near-Future Concepts (colonizing mars, telepresence)

Great to see everyone this month. Just following up on a few items we discussed:

    1) I've posted a meetup for next week's Arts Commission meeting to decide what to do with the big "Acid Ball" leftover from GP. I hope you can join us and write to the commission this weekend at [masked] with your support for the sundial.

    2) The "Horizon Goal" series about the current state of human spaceflight at NASA is ongoing at

Make sure to check out the new "Rocket Road Trip" videos or follow The Planetary Society on Facebook to see those.

See you all either next week or next year during our regular meetup.
