This class invites you into a fluid, empowering dance practice that weaves together fusion belly dance, elemental movement, and embodied anatomy. You'll learn isolations, traveling steps, and expressive combos while exploring the energies of earth, air, fire, and water through intentional, magick-infused movement.

Rooted in a strong understanding of anatomy and movement mechanics from yoga, this practice supports strength, body awareness, and personal expression. Inspired by contemporary fusion styles and structured improvisation, the format encourages creativity and connection—both with your body and your energy.

Open to all levels, this class is a space to move with purpose, explore your power, and tap into the transformative joy of fusion dance.

I offer drop ins at $15 and class card- 5 classes for $65 and 10 classes for $110. Please arrive a little early to take care of payment before class.

This is a beginner-friendly class rooted in Raqs Sharqi, also known as Egyptian Belly Dance. Each class will include cultural studies, rhythm recognition, and technique drills designed to cultivate a well-rounded belly dance toolkit. These classes will equip you with the skills to become a responsible artist, confident performer, and culturally-competent pursuer of fusion dance forms.

This all-levels class will also delve into Datura Style, which is both a dance vocabulary and format for group improvisation designed by Rachel Brice. Datura’s hyper-stylized vocabulary is characterized by isolated serpentine movements and post-modern interpretations of weight and flow (i.e. where did time and gravity go?) which pair well with unconventional music. Every class includes a section on finger cymbals, partnered improvisation, and yoga for spinal health.
