I'm Soraya from Paris, living in London now and I’m very delighted to announce you my first workshop in London at Pineapple Studio the 3rd December 2 to 5 pm. 3 hours of Raks el Baladi. Place limited at 20 persons.
Nomadic in essence, oriental dance was inspired by the culture of the various countries it traversed. That’s why some moves originate from India, Spain, Africa, and of course Egypt, the heart of belly dance. All of this gives oriental dance its richness and endless beauty. The roots of the Raks el Baladi are rural - from the Egyptian countryside where hard-working women walk the soil improving by the consequence the power of their hips. Hence we can consider Baladi as a dance of the soil. In this workshop, we will have 2 differents sections : 1) Baladi Technique - Intermediate / Advanced 2 to 3:30 pm - Stretching – Pilates - Body position and attitude - Understanding and improvement of your standing foot / support - Baladi techniques / steps 2) Choreography “Basboussa” - Intermediate / Advanced 3:30 to 5pm - Combination of steps - Entrance on stage like a professional and How to manage your space - Choreography 1 session = 29£ Full day = 49£
I really want to share with you all my love and experience as a professional belly dancer and all techniques that I learnt from the best teachers, especially from Djamila Henni – Chebra, formed by Ibrahim Akef, teacher and choreograph of Dina.
