Night MTB - Phil's Trail - Marvins, KGB, Kent's

What a wonderful way to extend the season - shorter days, but we can still ride. We'll do a shorter loop - Marvin's Garden, KGB, and Kent's back to the trailhead. About an hour.

Though the terrain is moderate, the conditions at night will make the terrain more like an intermediate ride and require that you have very, very good lighting.

Lighting. Folks seem to prefer 100 lumens or more. Most find the simple 1 Watt LED headlamps insufficient. I am riding currently with a 650 lumen Nightrider on the handle bars and a 250 lumen Nightrider helmet mounted. There are many sufficient configurations - let me know if you have questions.

Bring water, energy food, lighting, bike repair gear, and appropriate clothing for inclement weather.

To carpool we'll meet at the parking lot outside Goodlife Brewing in Bend's Century Center. That's just east of the Dutch Brother's on 14th, or just west of Nosler Corp on Columbia. We will be in the parking lot on the emptier very north east side closer to Dutch Brothers. Please be on time so we can leave at 6pm sharp.
