What we're about

Hello everyone!

I saw that a good amount of people were interested in making a book club for the Bensalem area, and I am interested in organizing such a club. Please bear with me as I have never been a meetup organizer before.

I know that the bucks county libraries have rooms that can be booked in advance, for free. If a handful of people are interested, I can book a room that seats 12. If we have more than 12 interested then we can explore other options for a meeting place. But for now I was thinking the Bensalem library would be best. Anytime on Saturday would work best for me, but please let me know which day/time of the week would be best for you.

Perhaps we could have weekly meetings and start with short stories that we can discuss during the meeting. We can even read them together at the meeting if everyone wants to. Or if everyone wants to read and discuss novels we can do that too. Basically whatever everyone wants to read is fine. As for genre, I am interested in Fantasy/Sci-Fi and YA fiction, but I think it would also be great to read other genres as well!

So for now, feel free to reach out with suggestions on reading material, meeting times/logistics, etc..

Thanks for reading this and I hope to hear back from you!

Book Discussion: Everything I Never Told You by Celeste Ng

Location visible to members

If everyone got the book "Everything I Never Told You" by Celeste Ng and read up to chapter 9, then that is what we will discuss. If some members only read up to the end of chapter 7 or 8 then we will only discuss up to chapter 7 or 8 as to not spoil anything. Even if you don't have the book (and don't mind spoilers), feel free to come hangout and see what the Bensalem Book Club is all about. Hope to see you around. Also, think of a suggestion for the next book that we will read. We will randomly choose the next book based off of member suggestions at this meetup. This meetup is free but a donation of $1 would be appreciated to help offset the monthly fee charged to organizers by meetup.com
