What we're about

Hello all!

I'm an avid reader with a degree in Comparative Literature that I haven't made much use of. I love talking about my favorite books and writers as much as I love reading, so I thought it would be a great idea to start a book club! I had one before and it went great!
I'd like to balance the classics with modern/ contemporary literature.
Some of my favorite writers include Roberto Bolaño, Henry Miller, Carson McCullers, Knut Hamsun, Haruki Murakami, and Zora Neale Hurston. I've decided on the first two or three novels for us to read, but I'm totally open to suggestions!
We can meet in downtown Berkeley or Oakland, have some drinks or even dinner, and discuss great literature!

See you soon!
