Toastmasters is for people who want to develop or improve their public speaking skills or overcome a fear of public speaking in a supportive learning atmosphere. Members improve their listening, thinking skills, and leadership skills are developed as well. Development of communication and leadership skills results in self confidence and personal growth. Meetings are fun and feedback is encouraging. This is where you can practice communication and leadership skills without fear.
The club has earned Toastmasters' highest honor, the President's Distinguished Club award, each of the last 10 years.
Etcheverry Hall is on the north side of campus, on Hearst Ave across the breezeway from Soda Hall. Free street parking is available on Ridge Rd and nearby. The building is a 20-minute walk from Downtown Berkeley BART.
We meet the first and third Thursday of every month.
