My wife and I are recent part-time residents who thought it might be nice to get together with other Berkshirians for dinners, theater, museums or other social activities. This is such a wonderful area with so much to do and we thought it would be fun to share our enthusiasm and enjoyment of the many resources and activities that the Berkshires offers. As our group gets going I'd like to anticipate meeting for some interesting activities at least once a month. The goal would be to not only enjoy these wonderful activities but to foster and nurture friendships. I'd like to propose that attendance at any get together be limited to no more than eight or ten people as I've found that larger groups don't really allow for people to 'connect' too readily and local restaurants often would have difficulty accommodating larger groups. Please be advised that going forward the following policy will be implemented. If you RSVP to a meetup please be aware that space is limited and that these meetups often fill up quickly so that others, who may have wanted to join us, are unable to do so. I understand that unexpected things come up in life and that plans may have to change, but I would request that if you find you are unable to attend a meetup that you immediately change your RSVP to "No" so that other members can be made aware of the fact that there is now an opening. In order to be fair to other members, failure to show up or provide notification of a change in plans within 24 hours of a scheduled meetup on two occasions will result in removal from the group
