HackTime — Building a LiDAR API in Haskell
Details
HackTime is an opportunity to just get together and code. Anyone may propose a project, workshop, or just a concept to hack on. It's casual and open to all.
For our first ever HackTime, we are going to implement Haskell bindings for the Sweep LiDAR SDK and try to develop some nice abstractions for using them.
We can include other languages depending on the expertise and interest in the group. We'll have some hardware to play with, too, as we learn how to scan rooms and buildings with FP style.
You'll learn about FFI in Haskell and common idioms for streaming data, such as the conduit library.
