19:45 Sensitive files on webservers - Using the front door ;-) by Sebastian Neef.
There are millions on webservers on the internet hosting an even bigger number of websites. Depending on the security-awareness of website developers and server administrators, sensitive files may end up being exposed to the internet.
In this talk, Sebastian Neef will give an overview over his research and demonstrate how tiny files may lead to trivial server pwnage.
The results show that even high-traffic websites from the Alexa Top 1M can be affected. In that case, attackers do not have to use complex exploits or backdoors, but the public-facing, open front door.
