What we're about

This group is for like-minded outdoor sport enthusiasts based in the Berlin. We organize bouldering & rock-climbing, beach volleyball, ice-skating, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, cycling, stand-up paddling, kayaking, hiking, frisbee and yoga events and so far everyone had a blast. The meet-ups will most certainly be accompanied with drinks afterwards.

All members are welcome to suggest & organize their own meetup.
If you need help with the organization part, just send one of the event organizers/organizers a message, we'll gladly help.

If you have any idea - just let us know and we'll sort it out.

cheers!

** = ==================== PLEASE NOTE: ==================== Due to simply too many "No shows" I had to set up a wait list and will contact ppl there approx. 6-3 days prior to the scheduled date asking if they can confirm their attendance! Therefore: Join the wait list and make sure you can receive Email notifications 'cos I mainly communicate directly! No response = no "Going"! ======================================================== UPDATE[masked]: The Demeter farm has postponed (to 22 July) and cut its opening hours (Mon-Fri only) due to too poor crop. Therefore this tour will change its topic but the route remains the same AND gets an extension to a beautiful lake. ROUTE: Getting off in Alt Rosenthal we cycle some short 9 km to Neuhardenberg to have a peep in the beautiful Schloßpark, www.schlossneuhardenberg.de. Right after we dip the toes (and maybe more) into the Klostersee Altfriedland before we head just 10 km further to Biohof Ihlow, www.biohof-ihlow.de for a late breakfast (or early lunch, if you like). Leaving Ihlow and heading East and after some more 12 km we pass the Demeter farm (it's closed but just for you to know). The next 6 km leads us through a forrest before we arrive at the Fängersee to cycle down this and the following Bötzsee. Depending on time and mood both are a good last chance to jump into some of the clearest lakes in BRB. The final destination, Strausberg, is very short 5 km away. SPEED: Leisurely around 15 km/h. DISTANCE AND TERRAIN: This is a 50ish km ride with some solid but mainly forrest or rural ground. As always: Bikes with thin tyres (Race bikes, Fixies) and Folding bikes are not suitable! And if you want to bring Kids or Animals please get in touch before! MEETING POINT: 09:10 at the ticket machine right after the WESTERN moving staircase on the platform 8, see pin below (but please check that again for RB 26). I have a blue Villiger Trekking bike and may wear some greenish clothes. WAY OUT: 09:33 - dep. Berlin Ostkreuz, platform 8, taking RB 26 (5159) 10:26 - arr. Alt-Rosenthal WAY BACK: 19:05 - dep. Starting in Templin we cycle along the Röddelinsee South-west and have hopefully a chance for a quick jump into the water before we pass the Schleuse Kannenburg after some short 12 km. The following 10 km are plain forest paths and lead partly along the Havel. Arrived at Capriolenhof we enjoy their many products and may also get some BBQ. On this Saturday Gut Zernikow celebrates their "19. Zernikower Maulbeerfest", https://gut-zernikow.de/2019/19-zernikower-maulbeerfest, which is related to the silkworm breeding from the 18th century and an age-old Mulberry allée close by, https://mlul.brandenburg.de/cms/detail.php/bb1.c.304660.de . After enjoying hopefully delicious specialities we pass the Mulberry allée with more than 250 years old trees on the way to the Stechlinsee. There we stop for a swim (or two, and maybe pop by the Fishermen) before we head along the Peetschsee and Steinförde to arrive Fürstenberg after some 38 km. Cycle & dine - Sommerfest in Steinhöfel

Berlin, Berlin Ostkreuz Station (Train)

======================== PLEASE NOTE ======================== Make sure you can receive Email notifications 'cos I mainly communicate directly! No response = no "Going"! ======================== PLEASE NOTE ======================== ROUTE: The Sommerfest in Steinhöfel, especially their guided garden tour is a savour and aroma orgy! It is one of the highlights everyone has to be there at least once! Seriously ;o) Since cycling always the same roads is boring we're starting this time in Jacobsdorf (Mark) and head towards Steinhöfel via Sieversdorf, Madlitz and Falkenberg, which is just about 23 km on mixed ground. We may stop for a coffee if we come across something. The Garten Steinhöfel is a unique Project of "Land Kunst Leben e.V." http://www.landkunstleben.de and their Sommerfest a nice way to get to know more about them, their ideas and their products. Certainly worth to check out. Leaving Steinhöfel we cycle straight to Erkner via Beerfelde, and Kienbaum and arrive after approx. 37 km at the train station there.
