Group description:

This group is for everyone interested in exploring the 16 personality types theory (MBTI / Jungian cognitive functions) by meeting people of different personality types and exploring the connections in a casual environment.

The group is open to everyone interested in the personality types theory, regardless of if you come to learn more about it or just to casually meet new people.

- A description of each type can be found here: Truity (http://www.truity.com/view/types), TypeLogic (http://www.typelogic.com/) or PersonalityPage (https://www.personalitypage.com/html/portraits.html).

- An introduction to cognitive functions can be found on ThoughtCatalog (http://thoughtcatalog.com/heidi-priebe/2015/06/if-youre-confused-about-your-myers-briggs-personality-type-read-this-an-intro-to-cognitive-functions/) or on mbti-notes/theory (http://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/theory).

- An explanation of how cognitive functions usually develop through life can be found on mbti-notes/development (http://mbti-notes.tumblr.com/development).

Guidance on taking the test:

The different personality types give indications on psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decision.

The test only gives you a hint about what your personality type could be, you are strongly invited to read the description of the other types and to decide yourself which one you feel is the most accurate to you.

A personality type is described by 4 letters:

- E (Extraversion) or I (Introversion)
- S (Sensing) or N (iNtuition)
- F (Feeling) or T (Thinking)
- J (Judging) or P (Perceiving)

If one of your letter has a low percentage (let's say less than 15%), feel free to read the description for both variations.

Example: if you are I (25%), S (8%), T (30%), J (35%), you should read the profiles for both ISTJ and INTJ, and decide which one is the most accurate to you.

You can find plenty of resources online about personal development, career advises, management advises, relationship advises, etc...

Also, here are some ethical guidelines (http://www.myersbriggs.org/myers-and-briggs-foundation/ethical-use-of-the-mbti-instrument/ethical-guidelines.htm) that are nice to keep in mind.
