Our next VR Meetup will be again at Viacom on the 24th of May. We can host even more people this time and look forward to an evening with inspiring presentations, demo stations, drinks and networking.
Philip Hausmeier from the organizing team is back from the accelerator program in Silicon Valley and will give a short talk on the current state of Virtual Reality in California.
Jim Rüggenbgerg, CEO of Illusion Walk KG will present the talk "From Rift to Holodeck - HMI and Content in Virtual Reality". Together with his brother Julien he founded the Berlin Startup in 2013 and developed the "Immersive Deck", a realtime VR-platform for large scale multiplayer gaming. http://www.illusion-walk.com
Experience & Multimedia designers Christin Marczinzik and Thi Binh Minh Nguyen of the Swing Design Collective will speak about 'SWING', their interactive VR-installation that makes a dream come true: the dream of flying. It uses a swing as a physical component with Oculus Rift and Kinect - an innovative combination which enhances the swinging experience with Virtual Reality. https://vimeo.com/119068455
