Details
A presentation by Simon Schwab from Swisstransplant, Bern.
The event takes place online. The link to the meeting will be visible for registered participants shortly before the beginning of the event (at the latest).
This is the first session of a new introductory series into R for beginners called "R Fundamentals". This first session gives a brief overview of R and RStudio:
- data types
- exploring data
- some basic statistics
- figures with ggplot2
- R Notebooks
Examples will be from Stanford Heart Transplant dataset from the "survival" package. Slides and materials (R notebook) will be made available before the session at https://osf.io/ex6v7/. Thus, if desired, the audience can interact with the data already during the session.
Future R Fundamentals will cover specific topics in more detail, e.g. data reading & data cleaning, ggplot2, descriptive statistics, etc.
