Bärner Go Talks 2022 no. 1
Details
Hello Bärner Go Community
We are very happy to announce a Bärner Go Meetup on Thursday, May 5th 2022 18:00 at Effingerstrasse 47, 3008 Bern.
We've streamlined the format, we'll have 1 talk, 1 lightning talk and an open discussion with refreshments.
Another Web Assembly Talk: Interacting with the web – Patrick Fiaux
Pure functional programing is great especially in web assembly, on rare occasions however when side effects are desirable we need inputs and outputs. We'll look beyond the bootstrap of web assembly compiled go, focusing how we can handle inputs, load assets, and output data back to the browser side. To conclude we'll demo how all these can make retro gaming possible in the browser.
Warning: Some JavaScript may be involved in this Go presentation.
Patrick is a systems engineer at Open Systems, he enjoys functional programming, CI/CD and test automation. Unlike most people he spells devops in lower case and can often be seen using the gohper or the party parrot emojis on Slack.
Lightning talk – Vacant slot
We now have our own slack channel bärner-go. We are more than happy to get in contact with all of you and can share ideas, experience or tackle technical challenges there as well.
