you do not have to show up at 930 but please let us know what time you can be there by and what you are bringing. - we plan to leave at 1040 to start handing out the bags. We will meet and make the bags up and then go out in teams to give them out. If you want to donate but cant make it message me Cyndi or you can paypal [masked] It's that time again.....when some of us are blessed with an abundance of holiday cheer and some others are living a reality of misfortunes. Let's balance the scales! Let's make this a family-friendly event so members can bring younger guests if they want to. We'll meet and stuff bags with essentials and a few treats, then deliver them directly to the streets, where our homeless adults are in need. • 2018 Phoenix Santarchy

    Copper Blues, Upstairs at CityScape

6-730: Copper Blues (specials TBA) 730-9: The Park (happy hour pricing)[masked]: 2 choices Hike to Hooters at the AZ Center or The Kettle Black (specials TBA) Steve's Grill (happy hour pricing) 1030-?: 2 choices BarSmith (no cover to Solstice for all those dressed up) or Travel to SideBar where our DJs will rip it up till close I'm putting in a little flexibility as I have no idea how may Santas will show up as usual. Maybe a bunch will be lured to Scottsdale with the awesome allure of paying a charge to promoters for no reason :) As always if it's crowded at a stop, strike out to all the places near by (Hannys, Seamus, Bitter and Twisted, Melindas alley, etc!!)s is hosted by the AZcaphony group and I am just posting it so you can attend if you want. a schedule will be posted when it gets closer but will be all downtown phoenix Hey Everyone! At its origin this event has been about being a flashmob. What has made it great is all you folks who dress up and participate! Its been amazing to watch the event grow and change over the past 11 years. Remember this has always been a free event so don't be fooled by imitators trying to charge you money!! Last year was our first year moving from Scottsdale to Phoenix and people liked it so much we're doing it again. As always the suggested stops will be posted the week of the crawl. Please bring a toy and make a child happy! Twisting the holiday paradigm until it screams for mercy is fun! Getting arrested is not. Santa Claus is friendly, respectful, and cooperative with police officers, security guards, bouncers, and store owners and doesn't break any laws! "Disorderly Conduct" is not a merit badge. Have your own special twisted fun, but don't fuck it up for the rest of us! Our santas do not destroy property, steal merchandise, or do harm to others. The authorities and local businesses usually take Santa's antics in the loving holiday spirit Santa intends, so be nice to them. Seriously - don’t argue. If they don’t want Santa there, Santa should move along. REMEMBER THE ANSWER IS: SANTA Who's in charge? SANTA Who are you with? SANTA What organization are you with? SANTA Who organized this? SANTA Who just snap chatted a picture of their junk to me? SANTA ***** Bring ID Bring cash for drinks (don't forget the tip!). Bring cell phone. Look for updates on this event page. Bring comfy shoes and warm clothes. Bring candy and crap for the patrons we meet. Bring a camera. Bring your Santarchy Carol Book (old school reference!) ************* more info ************************ YOU MUST BE IN FULL CHRISTMAS COSTUME! Slacks and a hat are *NOT* Christmas costume. An ugly sweater is DEFINITELY NOT Christmas costume. There are events for that stuff, but this event is not one of them. This is very important. You will be a Santa in a huge group of Santas. Lines at some bars will be long. This is inevitable, though we have tried our best to mitigate this as much as possible. Do not bring outside drinks into any bar or restaurant. And remember that drinking alcohol on the streets is illegal. Santa does not have any special permits or permission to be exempt from these laws. Finally, by showing up, you acknowledge that being Santa can be risky business. You accept all consequences that could potentially arise from your personal participation and any participation of others which may affect you. This is not a sponsored event, simply a proposed meeting place for all like minded Santas.

If you are new to this group, yes most people will be dressed up. This is one of our most talked about events. This will be in Old Town and I will post schedule when gets closer. There is a $5 cost to attend. The charity for this event is the MS Society of Arizona. The MS Walk takes place on this same day (at 8am). If you are not familiar with MS (multiple sclerosis), it is a long-lasting disease that can affect your brain, spinal cord, and the optic nerves in your eyes. It can cause problems with vision, balance, muscle control, and other basic body functions. MS happens when your immune system attacks a fatty material called myelin, which wraps around your nerve fibers to protect them. Without this outer shell, your nerves become damaged. The damage means your brain can’t send signals through your body correctly. Your nerves also don’t work as they should to help you move and feel. MS is known as a snowflake diseases because it affects each person differently and their progression and prognosis is different. The average age to be diagnosed with MS is 34 and more women than men get diagnosed. You can pay the $5 ahead of time via this link or if you are unable to attend but wish to donate, you can do that here as well: http://main.nationalmssociety.org/goto/daniellefriedman Thank you for supporting this charity.
