Save the date for a virtual Passover Seder focusing on contemporary plagues and pollution oppression. This year we are re-branding our Passover seder as "Plastover" where we will be highlighting the goal of freedom from plastic pollution while also enjoying our customary Humanistic seder elements.

We’ll send more information about preparing your home seder plate, background information regarding plastic consumption, and steps we can take towards liberation.

So save the date: March 28 at 4pm and join us for Plastover! Freedom From Plastic

The Zoom link will be sent when you click the attend button.

You might like to have on hand the ritual Seder items:

Wine (or grape juice), matzah, a few teaspoons of salt water, and a Seder plate containing: a bone or a red beet, an egg or some seeds, horseradish, charoset (see sample recipes below), a sprig of parsley or other green leafy veggie, and an orange. Why an orange? We'll explain on Sunday!

Ashkenazi Charoset

1 1/2 cups walnut halves, lightly toasted, cooled, and coarsely chopped
1/2 cup sweet red wine
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon brown sugar
Mix together all ingredients. Best if you let it sit a few hours at room temperature before eating.

Sephardi Charoset
