What we're about
BIBLE & BITES is a Christian Bible reading club based on the One Year® reading plan. We will meet at Houston-area coffee shops/restaurants bi-weekly to share thoughts, questions, and encourage one another in our path in seeking Jesus Christ. All are welcome, even non-believers! This club is not an initiative of any particular Church, but rather we are individuals of different background that wants to read and reason the Bible together (we actually met through Meetup.com!).
Occasionally, we'll gather to do other type of Bible studies (aside from One Year plan). We also do social/volunteer/charity events too (via our sister group: Christian Social Club (http://www.meetup.com/ChristianSocialClub/))

New to the club? Welcome! Simply read next meeting's assigned readings and prepare to discuss them when we meet. Begin your own 365 days of reading on the day you decide to start (i.e. start on August 1st of this year and end on July 31st of next year). But even if you haven't read, come anyways and sit in on the discussions!
Bible & Bites Mission: To encourage members to build a habit of reading the Bible in order to deepen their understanding of God, and to provide a safe and supportive environment to discuss the Truth.
Bible & Bites Vision: To take part in building up as many believers as possible so that they can become the "light of the world" spreading joy, peace, love and Truth throughout. In turn, the ultimate hope is that all others will see the light and believe that Jesus is the Way.
WE'RE ALWAYS SEEKING VOLUNTEER ORGANIZERS! We know that our vision is BIG, but it is something we believe so highly in! We will definitely need help in reaching our goals. If you are interested in volunteering to set up event(s), let us (organizers) know! We would also LOVE to collaborate with other Meetups!
