We are a bit early! Still, we want to celebrate Interaction Lindy Hop day with you! 23rd of May, we celebrate the joyest dances of all, Swing Dance (Lindy Hop is part of Swing)! FYI the official day is the 26th, but the Friday is more fun

Swing dance is a unifying community dance for all people from different backgrounds and it goes along with the rich and hard Afro-American history. 26th of May refers to the birthday of one of the biggest investors in this dance, Frankie Manning. Nowadays, this dance forms a universal language between dancers and folks really love to travel so that they can explore the dance in local communities.

Authentic Power - Solo Jazz Lab

Jazz, the equivalent of authenticity. Discover more of yourself through movement, while emerging in a cultural experience deeply rooted in Afro-American history. We will cover basics like music, groove, steps and body awareness and we will top it up with complex transitions, rhythms and faster tempo’s. We start from the beginning and move through the layers during the day, each class will introduce new layers of challenge. You are welcome to go as far as you want on this journey!
10.30 - 11.30 Lab1: groove, feeling and vocabulary
11.30 - 12.30 Lab2: transitions, fun choreo and expansion of vocabulary
12.30 - 13.30 Lab3: you know you vocabulary and are ready for a challenge with rhythm, music and body awareness
13.30 - 14.00 Lunch Break
14.00 - 15.00 Lab4: let’s kick it up with some fancy steps and faster tempo’s
15.00 - 16.00 Lab5: steps are fun, but can apply them on the go and improvise like a pro? We will use a choreo as the base for our improv and we will play a few games that uplift our improv to a new dimensionWhen: 24 May
