Following on from Jon Torren's awesome talk in March - where he explored how story telling can help you get your business' message across more effectively and can also help you be confident in explaining what you do - we'll be looking into this subject in more detail during May's event.

We'll be talking about using business stories to get your message across to potential customers, plus using real life examples and discussing actionable things that you can do to begin creating your own business story.

For this event we'll begin with Dave from Big Bear Creative talking about how their own business story has helped them to get across their values and ethos to potential clients and has helped them to skyrocket their business.

We'll also be joined by communications consultant Rachel Extance, who will be speaking about how she crafts effective business stories for her clients, and how you can use stories in your own business.

About Dave:
Dave is Director of Web & Digital at Big Bear Creative - a growing design and marketing agency based in St Ives, Cambs. The core team have had many years working with well known brands in the past (think Sky, BMW, Virgin Money and Toni & Guy) and these days, through their work at Big Bear Creative, they apply this big-brand-thinking to help their SME clients compete with the big boys.

About Rachel:
Rachel creates communications strategies which get her clients noticed by the right people: their potential customers.
She helps people to see the stories in their businesses. Storytelling is powerful. We use stories to understand the world around us. They shape our views and how we feel. Rachel uses her experience as a journalist who has worked on the news desk of a busy regional daily newspaper and her training as a social media manager to find the platforms and media which will work for her clients.
