Big Data Belfast 2019 is fast approaching... in anticipation of this year’s conference, join us on Thursday 3rd October at Glandore (Arthur House, 41 Arthur Street, Belfast, BT1 4GB) for a social get-together and a preview of the event.

Also as part of the meetup, Analytics Engines CTO Dr Alastair McKinley will demo recent work on a trade finance platform which pulls in over 20 billion data points from a variety of sources. The platform is designed to enable analysts to mitigate risk and help them to make better investment decisions.

Alastair is the Chief Technology Officer at Analytics Engines where he is responsible for leading engineering delivery on customer projects, incorporating new data-centric applications, machine learning implementations and data architecture. Alastair gained his PhD from QUB in 2009 focusing on high-performance computing and algorithms used in telecommunications. He is interested in data modelling and data engineering in PostgreSQL and Python, Cloud Native solution architecture and NLP applications.

This event is the perfect opportunity to meet with like-minded individuals and local data industry leaders in a great workspace. We’ll be serving complimentary pizza and beer! What’s not to love.

The event is free to attend, however space is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.

Big Data Belfast takes place at the ICC Waterfront on Thursday October 24 2019. Have a look at our growing list of speakers here www.bigdatabelfast.com.
