Most recently he worked at Crowdstar, a leading social & mobile application developer, as their Business Intelligence Engineering Lead scaling the company’s social & mobile BI requirements with a Vertica based backend. Prior to Crowdstar he was the CTO of Crushpad.

Abstract: Big data from an operational standpoint. Highly scalable and highly available databases designed to run and support applications (the operations perspective), big data solutions from an analytics perspective- hybrid Hadoop and columnar type database solutions and the tools used to integrate, wrangle, and visualize large data sets, and lastly big data archival solutions- the various types of “S3 like” object storage technologies for the storage of truly stale and cold data.
