Introduction to "R" Programming Language

Details
R is an open source (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_source) programming language (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Programming_language) and software environment for statistical computing (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistical_computing) and graphics. The R language is widely used among statisticians (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistician) and data miners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_mining) for developing statistical software (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Statistical_software)[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_(programming_language)#cite_note-2)[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_(programming_language)#cite_note-nytimes09-3) and data analysis.[3] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R_(programming_language)#cite_note-nytimes09-3) Polls and surveys of data miners (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rexer%27s_Annual_Data_Miner_Survey) are showing R's popularity has increased substantially in recent years
In this session we will do Code walkthrough presenting the highlights and strengths of R over Excel and general purpose programming languages.
