Big Data Meetup - November 2016

Details
The topic of this meetup will be the big data tools available on the Google Cloud, especially BigQuery (https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/)and Dataflow (https://cloud.google.com/dataflow/).
Talks:
Batch and Stream Big Data Processing with Google Cloud
Choosing the right data processing tool can be crucial since it may determine the success or failure of a project right at the beginning. Because of the rapidly changing technology landscape, this decision can be even more difficult in the Big Data world. Google’s solution for both batch and stream processing is Google Cloud Dataflow. Dataflow is not just a managed service but a unified programming model that was open-sourced as Apache Beam. Csaba is going to introduce this solution and speak about how it can be used in a traditional data warehouse replacement project.
Kassai Csaba is a software architect at Doctusoft. He has participated in several Big Data projects, solving the problems of different retail, telecommunication, and start-up companies using Google and Hadoop technologies. His main professional interests are Google’s Big Data products, their related programming languages and database technologies
Troubleshooting and Monitoring Distributed Systems in Real Time with BigQuery
After a quick introduction of BigQuery, Google's Enterprise Data Warehouse solution, Tamás is going to speak about the reasons why they started to use this technology two years ago, and how it helped the AODocs development since then.
Tőzsér Tamás is the lead developer on AODocs since 2012. AODocs is a multi tenant application built on the Google Cloud Platform with hundreds of paying customers including Google. It is used to complete Google Drive with additional capabilities such as advanced access management.
