Details
Agenda:
6:00pm: We are pleased to welcome our guest speaker for the evening
Ayodeji Akiwowo, Elastacloud.
Title
Twitter Sentiment Analysis in Python.
On average, it has been shown that Twitter users around the world post around 6000 tweets per second or about 350,000 new Tweets every minute, 500 million tweets per day and around 200 billion tweets per year! As such, Twitter is used as a resource for companies and organisations for extracting customer insights and sentiments.
In this workshop, we will be looking at various ways organisations are using Twitter to understand their customers. We will run live code and extract data from live twitter feeds and work together in pre-processing the data and performing sentiment analysis on the data. Python with be our favoured tool in this workshop. I encourage us to come with our laptops but if not, not to worry as I will share the code with all attendees.
