Posle duze pauze organizujemo novi meetup i to u StartIT centru u Novom Sadu.
Ovaj put cemo imati 2 prezentacije sa fokusom na devops aspekte distribuiranih sistema.

Summary:
Kubernetes je open source container orchestration engine dizajniran za enterprise-class, cloud-enabled and web-scalable rešenja. Izgrađen je na temeljima koje je postavio Google sa 15 godina iskustva u implementaciji kontejnerskih aplikacija. Container orchestration je uticao na tradicionalnu Platform as a Service (PaaS) arhitekturu pružajući otvoren i učinkovit model za packaging, deployment, isolation, service discovery, scaling and rolling upgrades.

O Predavacu:
Miloš Simić je student doktorskih studija i asistent na Fakultetu tehničkih nauka u Novom Sadu. Oblasti interesovanja: large-scale distribuirani sistemi (big data, cloud computing, internet of things, servis orijentisane arhitekture), mašinsko učenje i MMORPG igre.

19:00-19:45 = Challenges of monitoring distributed systems (Nenad Bozic)

Summary:This talk will try to help you understand all the challenges and you will get an idea which tools and technology stacks are good fit to successfully monitor Big Data systems. The focus will be on open source and free solutions. The problem can be separated in two domains which both are the subject of this talk: metrics stack to gather simple metrics on central place and log stack to aggregate logs from different machines to central place. We will finish up with a combined stack and ideas how it can be improved even further with alerting and automated failover scenarios.

O Predavacu:

Nenad Bozis is a data enthusiast and Apache Cassandra fan. DataStax MVP for Apache Cassandra for 2017. Craftsman with more than 10 years of experience, all arounder but when he does backend coding (mostly in Java) he feels right at home. Strong believer in balance between good technical skills and soft skills. Striving for knowledge is his main drive, which is why he enjoys learning new tools and languages, blogging, working on open source, presenting at conferences.
