We all know that riding in a pack is way more fun than riding alone. On the morning of MAY 10: Bike to Work Day, you will be able to meet up with your elected official and ride with district pride down to City Hall for a pancake breakfast!
Bike to Work Day (https://wobo.org/bike-to-work-day-2018/), held annually on the second Thursday in May, encourages people to try the “no-pollute commute” with a variety of enticements. Thousands of bicyclists find “Energizer Stations” at strategically placed locations where they can stop, get a canvas bicycle-style bag filled with treats and bicycling information, free coffee, juice or snack; and words of encouragement.
Walk Oakland Bike Oakland (http://wobo.org) hosts the largest Energizer Station in the East Bay: a pancake breakfast and transportation fair at Frank Ogawa Plaza on 5/10 from 7am-9:30am. We also coordinate a giant happy hour at Latham Square from 5pm-8pm. Come celebrate an earth- and heart-healthy alternative to driving to work!
