How to build your own DIY biolab

What is the state of DIYbio today?

We will look at what projects DIY biologists are currently working on to get a picture of what is possible to achieve today outside of university and life science company labs.

We will also look at what tools we have at our disposal as DIY biologists and what we can do with them. But we will also take a look at the obstacle facing the DIYbio community.

You will get general tips of how you can build your own home or community lab to be able to do the same analysis on DNA that is done in professional labs.

We will also attempt to extract DNA as it is done in professional labs, including the removal of proteins with the help of a 3D printed centrifuge making the DNA ready for PCR analysis.
