What we're about

Biodanza 'Dance of Life' classes with Claire Levey Lewis - “Biodanza is a celebration of life and being alive!”

Come along to experience motivational and inspirational dance, well-being & community connections. Originating from South America through the founder Rolando Toro Araneda, people come to Biodanza classes to connect through dance and increase their vitality, joy and natural health which opens their potentials for life.

We learn to celebrate life again and increase our energy for living. Lots of Latin music and music from around the world.

Based on the biological rhythms of life, creative dances of human movement, meeting others in the dance and the poetry of the human encounter, Biodanza in Edinburgh is run by Claire Levey Lewis, pioneer of Biodanza in Scotland since 2002 and director of the Rolando Toro System training school for new teachers in Scotland.

Come to an introductory evening and enroll for the term. Every Thursday. LifeCare Centre, Edinburgh, EH4 1JB.

DEEPENING CLASS Catch the Wave - Synchronicity with Life Biodanza Weekly Class

DEEPENING CLASS FOR BIODANZA EDINBURGH WEEKLY CLASSES with Claire Lewis "CATCH THE WAVE! SYNCHRONICITY WITH LIFE" Biodanza works with the natural responses of our primal instincts, integrated with emotional awareness and conscious perception to live fully with the impulses of the universe. THURS 24th JAN to THURS 11th APRIL *NOT OPEN TO BEGINNERS - SUITABLE FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ATTENDED AT LEAST ONE WELCOMING CLASS DEEPENING CLASSES: In these progressively deepening weekly classes we will engage in solo, shared and group dances to increase our natural synchronicity with life through instinctive and intuitive movements and connections. Our physiological instincts are a vital part of the replication of healthy cells, the continuation of memory and the blue print of life. Integrating our instincts with our emotions and thoughts through Biodanza practice can stimulate vitality, health, fulfilling relationships, harmony with the world around and continuous creation of life. It was Carl Gustav Jung, an early psychoanalyst, who originally coined the term synchronicity. He believed that life was not a series of random events but an expression of a deeper order that leads to the insight that a person is embedded in universal wholeness and that this realisation is more than something intellectual - it has elements of a spiritual awakening. From a religious perspective synchronicity has the characteristics of 'divine intervention'. Jung believed that synchronicity served a similar role to that of dreams, with the purpose of shifting a person's egocentric conscious thinking to a greater wholeness. I am deeply inspired to be exploring this theme with you in the New Year as we take the first steps into 2019 together, Claire Weekly Classes £12 4 Week block (consecutive attendance) £40 Wear comfortable clothing that you are happy dancing in and some water to drink. We dance in bare feet or soft dance shoes. For all bookings and further info please email me at: [masked]
