Potluck, presentation, and discussion
Let's learn from nature how to participate in the carbon cycle, and return the climate to its relatively stable state of the past 10,000 years. Restoration ecologist Jim Laurie will lead us in an introductory discussion of carbon molecules large and small, and how transformation of the few types of simple carbon molecules in the atmosphere into the countless and varied millions in the soils will make the difference between a dead planet and a lush, vibrant and biodiverse world.
Contributions gratefully accepted at the event to help cover Meetup.com fee and to support further outreach about Biodiversity for a Livable Climate topics.
