Abstract:

Targeting the right patients with the right treatments at the right time is the goal of precision medicine. Next generation sequencing (NGS) is the key technology that can quickly determine whether a patient is at risk for certain diseases, and may even help to guide treatment decisions toward better outcomes. But NGS brings with it an explosion in the amount of data that must be cleansed, annotated, integrated, and analyzed to derive benefits in understanding disease and patient outcomes. Here we describe how a flexible supercomputing analytics platform can help drive results in even the biggest NGS environments.
