Magento Progressive Web Apps

Details

After a 30 minute networking session with food from one of Birmingham's eateries, soft drinks, water, and of course beer from Avondale and Good People brewing, we'll delve right into a new web technology you need to know about - progressive web apps.

With the expected release of Magento’s PWA Studio in 2018, we will explore progressive web apps and why we think they are the future of all web sites. From being incredibly user friendly to adhering to the modern standards of web development best practices, PWAs will ignite your website’s performance, increasing your user interaction and skyrocketing your mobile conversions. Combine this with the fact that we expect Google to start increasingly rewarding Progressive Web Apps with higher search rankings and you have the basis for why we think PWA’s will dominate the eCommerce landscape for the foreseeable future.

We'll be done in an hour or less (including time for Q&A).

The notion of The Edge of Chaos comes from author Steven Johnson who postulates that collaborative solutions to wicked problems occur in an environment that runs a fine line between order and chaos. Real solutions are the goal of The Edge of Chaos. Bringing together academia, business, and the community, we are more likely to find real and workable solutions to our most difficult problems. Collaborative solutions to a wicked problem occur on the fine line between order and chaos.
